Recruit Students

There are multiple options for employers to reach out and recuit our students. If the following services and programs do not meet your requirements or needs, please contact us directly. We would be happy to work with you.

Post a Job

Computer Science makes it easy for you to post job opportunities through multiple channels, such as our student intranet, email lists and on-campus computer labs. Contact our Outreach Coordinator with your job posting and we will be sure to spread the word! In addition, the Career Services team offers services for employers, U of S students and alumni.

Host an Information Session

Employers can engage with our students by holding information sessions throughout the year. These sessions allow employers to bring awareness about their companies and recruit students. Campus Career Services has both free and fee-based options for hosting an info session

Career Fair

Showcase your company at the Computer Science Career Fair and encourage students to submit resumes and ask questions. This career fair takes place every January. Registration will be available in the fall on CareerLink. Companies are also encouraged to participate in campus-wide career fairs organized by the University of Saskatchewan for students from various disciplines.

Our 2022 Career Fair will take place virtually on January 11, 2022. Learn more about virtual recruitment on campus.

Hire an Intern

The Computer Science Professional Internship Program (CSPIP) allows undergraduate students to obtain 12 or 16 months of practical "on-the-job" experience with a sponsoring company prior to completing the final year of their undergraduate degree program.

Government Funding

The Government of Canada has established a number of programs that provide funding and other opportunities to potential employers. Its Youth Employment Strategy is designed to help young people, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to make a successful transition into the labour market.
